It gives me great pleasure to announce our upcoming Restaurant Guide to Beijing! Soon localnoodles will be printing Beijing's first 100% user-generated guide.
Our new publication is svelte localnoodles blue. On the stands it will be hard to miss. Shortly, localnoodles will be distributing 40,000 copies to just over 800 businesses in Beijing. By all estimates, we expect it to the definitive guide to Beijing's restaurants.

Situated a short walk from Houhai lake this unassuming place is one my favourite restaurants in town. I tend to come here to quench my meat cravings. They do a great selection of grilled meat, from chicken wings that are some of the best in town, to a super grill-your-own lamb and pork. Not many people know about the new theatres beneath “The Village” in sanlitun so I’m writing this review today to say they are AMAZING. The facilities, seats, sound, and theatre are as modern as most in Europe or the USA but no more expensive (RMB 50 pp) than other less modern theatres around town. This is another great place to sample the best of Beijing's sweets. Try the almond tofu served with watermellon balls, or go for some of the more adveturous desserts. I've promised myself next time to try the papaya with frog fat! Sounds pretty different! Though this is not a cheap place, you really do get to taste superb desserts. Service is friendly and fast. Bon appetit.
