Join localnoodles on the Great Wall for a camp out, bonfire, and a hike.
This weekend, localnoodles will begin overnight trips to HuanghuaCheng (Yellow folower) Great Wall where we will enjoy great food and cold drink around a raging bonfire then hike a short distance to your tents on the Great Wall.  The next morning, after an unforgettable sunrise, we will finish our hike in around 2 hours.  This is an all inclusive trip.

Step-by-step:  Your Itinerary
Each trip will depart from Beijing at approximately 2:30 pm and return the next day at approximately 4:00 pm.  Trip will be limited in size. Weather permitting, the following are our planned dates of departure / return:  May 10/11, May 17/18, May 31/1, June 14/15, June 21/22 , June 28/29 and July 12/13.

Day 1

Meet at Nan Jie, Depart Beijing at 2:30 ( please arrive at least 10 minutes earlier)
Early Evening Arrive at HuanghuaCheng ( Yello Flower Great wall), walk around, stretch your legs.  Relax until dinner or walk 30 minutes to the Great Wall for Sunset.
Dinner & Bonfire Return to village for home cooked Chinese dinner.  Eat to your hearts delight then relax at the evening's bonfire with fresh fruits, wine, chocolate and music.
Late Evening After dinner we will take a short walk (work off that dinner and beer) up to one of the Watchtowers on the Great Wall.  Bring only what you need to hike the next morning.  Bags can be left at the base of the mountain.

Day 2

Sunrise Wake up to one of the most amazing sunrises ever!  A small breakfast snack and coffee will be provided.  If you require more please consider bringing additional snacks.

Hiking Walk the non-touristy route from one magnificent watchtower to another while enjoying the unspoiled mountainous scenery.   The trip itself can be challenging at times but can be managed easily by hiking at your own pace.  Water will be provided.
Picnic About half way, we will pause to enjoy the view, take in a snack, and drink water.  Although a small snack will be provided, we suggest that you bring additional snacks as you think necessary.  Think Picnic!
